An Effective Daily Strategy for Terrific Results

To become very successful on the internet and earn 5 figures or more per month; for most people is a very elusive, out of reach and misunderstood phenomena. 

I can tell you from the many courses I’ve bought, strategies I tried and things I tested until I figured it out, I totally understand why.

Of course there are multiple reasons why people fail online(one of the main reasons being that most people don’t take action), but another big reason is most people don’t have a clear daily plan of action that will get them results.  

By following a simple daily strategy that is effective, you will quickly put yourself on the highway to success!

And if you take consistent action for long enough, I can promise you, you will get results that will exceed any expectations you have!!!

When you start your own daily strategy, keep in mind that all meaningful goals are reached by small daily actions and even if your results in the beginning seem invisible, don’t be disheartened! 

Your success is much closer than you think!

Effective Daily Plan of action:

1. Create 1 piece of content each day. (either a video, blog post or article) Try to give as much value and make it as useful, helpful and inspiring as you can.  

The more quality content you put out, the more traffic, backlinks and sales you will get and the more places people will find you.

Be consistent and really try to produce 1 piece of content every single day. Consistency will beat talent anyday!!

2. Promote your content:  Promoting your content is just as important as creating it!

You can promote your content on:

Your personal Facebook wall, Facebook page and groups

Google +

Twitter 

Linked in  

Pinterest

Through Pingler – this tells the search engines about your content.

Through syndication channels like Tribepro & Empireavenue

To content sharing sites and/or video distribution sites and high quality fiverrs.

By doing this it will 1# get you a lot of friend requests from targeted people and 2# will get you a lot of traffic for your blog.  These are the exact things most people lack in this industry (traffic and a following).

3. Email your subscribers. Send your new content to your list.  Try to always send your subscribers really valuable content (useful tips and videos, good advice and solutions to problems are experiencing).  This builds the relationship with them, lets them know you care and when the timing is right for them will let you have the most beautiful people with the same vision join your team.

4. Listen to a quality training every day to improve your skills and master internet marketing. Each training you do, take notes, implement what you learn right away and use it to create fresh content.

To improve your skills even faster, you can also listen to audio trainings while you‘re in the car, doing sport and in any downtime you have.  This will immerse your mind with good thoughts, will expand your mind and give you new ideas, will positively affect your subconscious mind and attitude and help you in many more ways than you can imagine!

5. Expand your Network.Make 20 to 30 new connections with people each day on different social networks.  

Start a Conversation with 10 people via Facebook IM, Linked in, Youtube, Skype or Facebook Email…

When they respond back, find out what business they are building, how they market online, invite them to a free training or webinar and send them your blog post or something of value that can help them.

The more you interact with your following and really care, the more they notice your content when you post it!

Also as you connect with others, don’t just look at them as prospects or leads for your business. When you create genuine connections and relationships, you’ll be surprised at how many of them join you in your business after they get to know you first.  

An additional way to grow your network is to send status updates to your most important social platforms(Facebook, Google +, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest) each day.

6. Advertise – this will help you speed up and compound your results. Even if you don’t know anything about paid marketing, by trying things you will find out what does and doesn’t work and anything that gives you good results you can continue and increase.

7. Read good books for 15-30 minutes each day.  Read books on leadership, influence, sales, marketing, excellence, personal-development and anything that will improve your skills.

8. Make small daily improvements  Master excellent habits (ie a terrific attitude, increase your self-discipline, your time management, your focus, visualize your most important goals, take massive action, leverage your time and get in the top 1% of the industry by being committed and consistent).

You should be able to complete all the above tasks in just a couple of hours of your day.  By working on the most important tasks and by putting your heart into your work, you’ll get better at everything you do, you’ll start to think clearer, you’ll meet so many gorgeous souls, you’ll get spectacular results and everyday you’ll have a great sense of fulfillment and joy.

Apart from the fact that video is the coolest, most expressive way to convey a message to your audience, it’s still not effective if no one’s watching your videos in the first place.

Here are the best ways I know of how to get lots of views, make your video marketing effective and the elements that can make a world of difference to your results…..

How to get lots of views on Youtube: Factors YOU can influence

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Make Great Videos: Create something valuable that people would want to share in the first place.  This is the best way to get lots of views!  Be creative. Make something special.  Stand out, be authentic, be different and make your videos meaningful and worth watching. The more your video benefits and touches your audience the more likely they will share it and help you get more views organically.

Be Consistent: If you make videos on a regular basis, people will not only notice you, but being consistent is one of the best ways to become competent and build your credibility.

Video Quality: The cool part about Youtube is you don’t need expensive equipment or a professional backdrop (filming your video spontaneously and in different locations often enhances and make it way more interesting), but keep in mind it’s still important to make sure the quality is good.  If the quality is terrible people will be put off by it and won’t bother watching (which makes it hard to get lots of views).

Add Friends: when you add other people as friends, they’ll often come to your channel to check out your videos and see what you’re up to. By adding friends regularly you’ll find really great people to connect with and you’ll definitely increase your views.

Increase Your Subscribers:  The more subscribers you have, the more people will be notified when you upload new videos.  You can increase your subscribers  by subscribing to other channels first and by asking people to subscribe to your channel in your videos (and in your call to action).

Get Ratings and Comments:  The more ratings and comments your videos have, the more relevant the search engines see them and the higher you’ll rank for your targeted keywords. One great way to increase the ratings and comments on your videos is to ask people for it.  At the end of your video, you can ask them to “please rate and comment” or end with a controversial question that makes them compelled to write something.

If you don’t ask for comments and ratings you might get you 1 comment for every 1000 people who watch your videos. If you ask, it can increase this up to 1 in 6 people leaving a comment!

How to get lots of views on Youtube:  Optimization

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Optimize for Keywords:  use your targeted keywords in your video’s title, description, file name and tags. This helps you rank much higher in the search engines, make your video easier to find and will help you get more views long term.

Choose Compelling Thumbnails: the image you choose in your thumbnail can make a big difference to the amount of views you’ll get. Most people scan the images first before watching any video (Youtube always provides you with 3 thumbnails to choose from), so pick the one that arouses the most curiosity.

Make Compelling Titles: this will totally influence your views, because the more enticing your heading is, the more likely people will click on it.

Add Annotations: this can increase your views by making your videos a more interactive experience, by linking to other videos (when its relevant) and asking for subscribers at the end.

Related Tags: Another strategy is to use the same keywords of other videos with very high views (make sure the keywords you choose are relevant to your video).

On YouTube many views to your videos you’ll receive from related videos, so if you find videos with 10,000′s or 100,000′s of views with similar keywords it can drive a lot of traffic to your video.

How to get lots of views on Youtube:  Viral Strategies

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Video Responses: pick a video with a lot of views (in the 100,000´s or millions) and make a video response for it.  Make sure your video is relevant though (so it enhances everyone’s experience and your video is also welcomed and accepted by the channels video you’re responding to). Creating video responses to other highly viewed videos can potentially get you a lot of traffic if you do it right (and your thumbnails and titles are enticing).

Add to your emails: Get more views to your videos by adding them to all the emails you send in your signature file. A useful tool that does this for you is Wisestamp.   It not only transforms your emails into a more effective and engaging experience,  but increases the amount of people who connect with you and watch your videos.

Spread through Social Media: The more places you share your video, the more people on different platforms will see it and the more views, comments and backlinks you’ll get. This is especially true within the first few days of uploading your video as Youtube loves fresh content.  You can share your videos with your email list, on your blog, on your fan page and any other social media sites. Also if you want it to be less time consuming, there are some great tools that will help you share your videos effortlessly.

Add Youtube Icons:  By adding a Youtube button on your websites and blog, more people will visit your channel and watch your videos.

Embed them elsewhere: by embedding your videos to your blog, on ning sites and social media  your videos will get more traffic even if your visitor wasn’t surfing on Youtube when they found you.

How to get lots of views on Youtube:  Leverage your time

Tube toolbox is the only software I know of that operates 100% within Youtubes guidelines.  This is important because you don’t want to be using anything that could compromise your account.

Promote on Youtube:  Getting your videos featured through Youtube’s video advertising can increase your views dramatically. It’s a very cost effective method (especially for your most important videos). It can cost you as little as $0.01 cents per view and makes your video visible at the top of the search results.

Video Distribution:  Another way to make your videos get even more exposure is to use video distribution sites.  These sites allow you to upload each video you make to 30 to 40 of the most popular video sharing sites.  To understand the power of video distribution as a mathematical equation, it could look something like this:

You have 30 videos x 10 views per day x 30 days per month x 40 popular video sharing sites showing your videos = 360,000 people exposed to you and your message EVERY MONTH!!! With exposure like this you can start to get phenomenal results.

TrafficGeyser  is a video distribution site that can be useful (or if you’d like someone to do the technical stuff for you without the monthly cost, I’m sure you can find someone nice do it for you on fiverr.

Another great video distribution site is OneLoad.  This platform lets you distribute your videos across various platforms, whilst providing you with great analytics to track your impact.  (keep in mind in their TOS they don’t accept mlm videos. They also don’t accept affiliate videos with low quality content or that anyone would perceive as scammy, so make sure any video you upload here has excellent content).

Use your creativity to get exposure through video

If you’re an entrepreneur and you want to create a life of freedom, using youtube for marketing is one of the most effective and powerful things you can do to get exposure and leverage your time.

Currently there are more than 4 billion YouTube videos watched per day throughout the whole world and on average, everyone surfing the web watches at least 1 YouTube video each day.

Video is most peoples favorite way of receiving information because we’ve been culturally conditioned since a very early age to receive everything like entertainment, news and what’s happening in the world through the TV.  The only difference with video is there is much more freedom of what we choose to see and be informed about.

Youtube for marketing: Exponential Results

Video is an extremely effective method of getting your message across and reaching thousands of people.  When you make videos, it will let you leverage your time because once your video is up, it will keep getting exposure for you 24/7 permanently.

As a simple mathematical example of how effective video marketing is as a strategy:

If you uploaded 30 videos on YouTube, you could have:

30(videos) x 10 (views each per day) x 30 (days in a month)

which means you and your message would already be exposed to 9000 new people EVERY MONTH from this strategy alone!!!  Very powerful!

Test out some of the ideas below and get your message out!  And don’t be disheartened if you don’t notice much after the first few videos. For some people it can take up to 100 videos before they start seeing results, so stick with it!! Consistency is the secret with videos and you’ll get much faster at making them and have more fun once you have a bit of practice!

Youtube for Marketing: build an online empire

Gary Vaynerchuck  is an excellent example of someone who believed in his dream and became extremely successful by using video.  He built his family’s offline wine business into a 60 million dollar company entirely through social media. He started from scratch with a video blog and initially only had 90 views per video and very few comments. He followed his vision and persevered and now has more than 100,000 views per video, more than 400 comments on each one and a massive online celebrity following. So remember anything is possible! Be inspired and beleive in yourself!!

Before you upload your first video, I recommend you optimize your channel by completing your profile information (what you’d like your viewers to know about you) and include your websites (Twitter, Facebook and Blog links).   If you want to make your channel even more professional you can customize your background too.

I recommend setting up your account as a ‘Director’ or ‘Guru’ status to help you get more views. The ‘Guru’ status is best if you’re going to be offering a lot of ‘How-To’ videos.

Youtube for Marketing: How to make videos

To film a video you can use your cell phone, ipad, webcam, your camcorder, a flip cam or any camera that allows you record videos in a format you can upload to the web.

The other option is to make a screen recording or a powerpoint.

It´s important to decide the purpose of each video before you make it. Is it to gain trust, to educate, to become an authority, to entertain, to get people to sign up to your mailing list or to sell a product or service?

Don’t stress when making your first videos.  95% of the videos you make don’t require you to be super professional, a good speaker or excellent in front of the camera because you can use a script, rehearse beforehand and then you can still edit out mistakes. (and even then if it seems less professional this can help you get views because it’s more natural and spontaneous).

Always try to make your videos short!  Unless you are teaching something important, you need to keep your videos between 30 seconds to 2 minutes because people have real short attention spans.

Don’t be hard on yourself either!! The most important thing is to get your videos out there. When you record a video just relax, smile and pretend you’re talking to your best friend.  Once you are consistently creating videos, I guarantee you many nice people will come into your life because of it.

Keyword Research: To generate more traffic to your videos it’s good to research and target specific keywords first that have high searches and low competition. A great tool for this is

Googles free keyword tool:  https://adwords.google. com/select/KeywordToolExternal

or Youtube’s keyword research tool: https://ads.youtube.com/keyword_tool

Once you’ve found your keywords, you would use them in your title, your description, your video file name and your tags. Most people overlook this process and that’s why they get very few views to their videos. Other people also make the mistake of targeting far too generic terms that might get a lot of searches, but are way too competitive in the search engines, so their video gets lost in all the noise. (long tail keywords are a great way to get found).

Add compelling titles to your videos that grab your viewer’s attention. You could ask a question or make a controversial statement that arouses curiosity.  Keep in mind that your title needs to be relevant to your video, because if you waste people’s time with misleading titles you’ll lose credibility.

Video Description: For each video you make, you should have an informative and useful description with the main keyword you are targeting in the text. Writing a longer description instead of just a few words will also help your video get picked up much better by the search engines.

Youtube for Marketing: Different video styles

1. Introducing yourself:  You can make a video about your beliefs of how the world should and could be and of who you are.  You can also record videos of you doing interesting things in your daily life or with friends. These types of videos will help people to get to know you, like you and trust you.

2. Educational videos:  teaching useful information – this can be anything that will create value for your viewers from helpful advice, useful concepts, how to do something or specific solutions to a problem they might have.
Educational videos will help create credibility and present you as an authority in your field.

3. Entertaining, lifestyle videos:  film exciting things you do: rollerblading, surfing, skating dancing, wherever you go or exciting things in your city. You can also cut and edit them to music.

4. Product or service reviews: You can create useful review videos on almost anything. You could make a review on one of your products or services explaining the benefits or about systems or leaders online.

5. Sales videos:  Always keep in mind, the more you appear to come across as intentionally trying sell something, the less people will be receptive to your message, so focus on the benefits of your viewer and recommend things like a good friend would.

If you are going to make a sales video the best way is to present your product or service in this sequence:

*Present the problem

*Explain the solution

*then have a call to action specific to your product or service.

Whatever fields you’re in, you need to know the problem or need your customer has and try to think as if you were in their shoes.

If you expect a specific outcome from your video always make your call to action very clear ie. Call this number, visit this website, or comment and rate etc.

6. Screen recordings, tutorial videos.  You can make videos using screen capture software which records all your mouse movements on your computer screen.  Once you have recorded it you can use any video editing software like windows movie maker or jingproject (amongst many others) to edit it.

Another great software to use is animoto because it has many features included and lets you create professional looking videos really quickly.

Whichever style you choose to make your first videos, just remember getting lots of them out there is much more important than trying to make them perfect.  You can learn and improve as you go.

The scientific formula for momentum

M x V = P    Mass (m)  x  velocity (v)  =  Momentum (p)

The formula for momentum is Newtons Second Law and states that mass (which means you) plus velocity equals momentum.

I’ve always been fascinated by the laws of nature, and have seen firsthand when they’re applied what radical changes they’ve created in business and every area of life.

The law of momentum states that the faster something is moving—whether it be a car, any moving object or thing (like your business), the harder it is to stop.

Momentum also goes hand in hand with personal productivity. Momentum allows you to make the most of your time and create exceptional results you would have great difficulty to achieve without it.

Using the formula for momentum for online business success

If you consider the term “momentum” outside of the world of physics and instead apply it to the online world, you could take the example of an entrepreneur who starts their business.

In the beginning they will be putting in daily effort, doing various tasks and even if in the first few days or weeks they don’t see many results, once someone is doing enough of the right things consistently their momentum will soon take off and they will regularly get excellent results and become very successful online.

There is always resistance when you’re doing something new and if you start but then take your foot off the gas, you stall creation and won’t reap the immense benefits and rewards momentum gives you!

VELOCITY AND SPEED

For your business to have momentum, some force needs to set it in motion (your daily actions), and that force needs to be applied over a period of time (consistency) which then guarantees excellent results(if you do highly effective activities and actually work instead of surfing or wasting time).

It’s also your approach, not your identity that will decide how difficult or quickly you will gain momentum.

Below is a simple formula for momentum that you can use to create exponential results in your business in minimal time:

1.      Identify your Goals. Plan clear goals and decide to make it happen.  It doesn’t matter if you’ve struggled for years before. Anything is possible and your only limitations are those you place on yourself. The most important thing you can do to achieve your goals is to be very clear exactly what it is you want and are trying to achieve and what steps (and smaller goals) are needed to make it real.

2.      Identify your Strengths:  Identifying your strengths is a key secret to success. When you do, your work will be much more enjoyable, your progress will be much faster and you will get momentum you can easily retain. Working in your weaknesses is like working with a handicap, and strangely enough most online marketers are frustrated because they don’t work in areas of their strengths.

3.      Systemize Everything: Create a 90 day plan, with a daily method of operation and stick to it no matter what (most people start strong but with the first obstacle or difficulty fizzle out). Analyze which EXACT steps you will take each day and what the most effective tasks are to propel your business forward.   You don’t need to know everything when you begin. Pick 1 core strategy and master it (before adding other things) until you’ve gained momentum and you’re consistently getting the results you want.

4.      Be Consistent: Being consistent is one of the most powerful and crucial elements to success in any area of life. It’s what sets you apart from the rest and is way more important than moments of occasional greatness or intense bursts of genius! Almost everything in life can be learned, achieved and acquired through consistent, focused action and it’s the main reason anyone gains momentum.

5.      Get Metrics:  Find a way to track exactly what you’re doing in your business and the results you are getting from each activity you do. Even if when you begin you use the method of testing and trying and failing forward fast, running a business without metrics is like driving a car with your eyes closed.

Many people think motivation leads to action, but the reverse is actually true — action precedes motivation. Getting momentum initially might seems difficult (like losing bad habits or instilling good ones), but with a little discipline and follow through, momentum comes and miracles happen!

1. Create Excellent Content:

One of the most important aspects of building a very successful blog is creating consistent, high quality content.

Every single post you make, you need to ask yourself, what value am I providing? Why will my reader benefit from having read my content?

                                               
The more relevant you are in addressing your readers needs, goals and interests (and solving their problems), the faster you will generate lots of traffic to your blog, develop prosperous relationships and become super successful.

Here are some blog writing tips to give you ideas for your posts:

*  Pick 1 Targeted Keyword: and write a relevant post about it that helps improve your readers lives and provides solutions to what they’re looking for.  The deeper you can place yourself in your readers shoes and figure out specifically why they’re typing something into the search engines, the easier it will be to come up with meaningful content that’s useful to them.                                                                                                                                                                                                             

*  Give Excellent and Insightful Reviews: of products, leaders, books and services related to your industry.  Give your reader the most helpful resources and knowledge you can find!

*   Write HOW TO Articles: Teach your readers how to do something. These are very popular, they help others understand things quicker and helps them get results and they also build your credibility as someone to work with.

*  Compile an Interesting List on Your Topic: Doing this can generate huge traffic spikes to your blog. Pick some aspect that’s interesting and useful to know about your industry and make a top 20 list with links to the best resources. Write short paragraphs about who or what is on the list and why.

*  Add Entertaining and Interesting Videos: from Youtube or video sharing sites related to your topic with your own comments or perspective under it.

*  Define Something: Explain a definition, term or important concept in your industry that people might not know much about or understand.

*  Write a Fresh, Controversial or Unique Angle on a Topic. A good place to get inspiration for new content is from the trailblazers in your field or from very old, wise books.

*  Interview Experts: This is a great way to share insight from experienced people, to receive quality traffic to your blog and to build credibility.

The more value you provide your reader the easier the transition is for them to become a business partner, customer or lifelong friend.

*  Be the Transformation: Even if you are new to a field and don’t have much experience, this is an excellent way to document your progress, share all your triumphs, your victories and also the obstacles you overcame along the way.  By leading by example, your readers will be engaged and excited to read your content and your message can profoundly and positively change others lives!

*  Use Methods to Engage Your Readers:  Create ways for your readers to experience your blog on a deeper level, to express themselves and be part of something. Do this by being creative with your pictures, incorporate video and audio, include calls to action, interact and respond when they leave a comment and add small touches to let them know you’re here to serve them.  The more you allow people to interact on your blog, the faster you will build a strong community and raving fans.

* Leverage Audio and Video:  By adding other mediums to your blog like videos and audio, you provide more ways for your reader to connect with you and receive your message. All readers have a preferred format of receiving information, so by using multimedia it will be easier for you to establish rapport and build a relationship.  Using video also makes your blog so much more personal and inviting (so your readers remember you and are more likely to come back).

* Become an Authority:  People are a lot more likely to follow, engage with, be interested in and join a leader.  By learning and reading widely, putting in the effort, testing assumptions and ideas, always improving and really trying to serve and provide massive value, you become an expert in your field and can deliver meaningful content that will make a difference to their lives (and yours from the success of doing something well).

Remember to be consistent in writing your posts. Everyone equates consistency with quality and success, so by sticking with it and persevering you will create a very large, loyal and passionate following and reap endless rewards.

If you’re not excellent yet, just keep at it and you WILL master it. If you put your heart into it and work, you can succeed at anything!!

Starting Your Own Blog

I hope you’re having a wonderful and sunshine filled week.  Today’s post is about the benefits of starting your own blog and the first steps of getting one set up.

If you want to thrive in business today and really benefit from the huge growth of Social Media sites and the world always being more connected, it’s very important to have a blog.

The goal of starting your own blog is a to have a place where your visitors can get to know you better,  learn useful and interesting information and sign up for your mailing list(to generate leads, customers, business partners and best buddies).

Your blog is like a main hub where you can drive traffic to from all your other sites. Blogs are excellent for getting ranked in the search engines for highly targeted keywords.  Having a blog is definitely one of the most effective ways to receive qualified traffic and generate a constant stream of leads.

If you’re going to start your own blog, you’ll need to enjoy writing (unless you plan to outsource) and stick with it for quite a while consistently until it becomes successful.

There are endless benefits of starting your own blog:

• When your blog is professional and well structured, you build instant credibility, trust and respect with anyone who comes to your site.
• A blog builds your own brand, so people see you as a source.
• It has a very low start up cost and very low ongoing and operating costs.
• Requires very few specialized skills.
• Can help you to make an income by being your authentic self and sharing your passions with the world.

A blog can be about any passions you already have.  The topic you choose, you should like a lot so that you’re motivated and excited to write about it.

Figure out exactly who you’re writing for and what problems, desires, goals and needs your target audience has. The more you can provide solutions and useful advice to them the more successful your blog will become!

Here are the simple steps to starting your own blog and having a well structured and professional online presence:

1. Decide on a topic to write about: Answering the following questions will help you to choose your topic:

* Which painful problem or frustration can you solve?  People go online to find solutions to their problems, so if you are a resource and can help them and provide great value, your blog has a great chance to become successful.

* What irrational passion do you have? find something you are so enthusiastic about you could write about it and really enjoy it. Once you find something, do keyword research to see if enough people are interested in your topic.

If there’s a lot of competition in your field, just think about a unique angle you could take and what would make you different and stand out.

Before starting your own blog be clear on what you want from it and what you want to give to the people reading it.

2. Choose a domain name for your blog: this can either be your own name (if you want to brand yourself) or otherwise any name that sounds special to you or you find relevant. There are many sites you can purchase a domainfrom and they usually cost around 10.- to 12.-

3. Host it yourself: The first important factor of having a blog is hosting it yourself.   If you don’t host it, you don’t own it and all your posts can be deleted and taken away at any time for no reason whatsoever.   If you are serious about your blog, you need to host it yourself.

5.  A professional blog theme: This is important so your blog looks professional to your reader. Don’t underestimate the visual impression of your blog on your reader.

If you’d like a free wordpress theme you can easily find many of them on the web to choose from.

Or you can choose a Premium Theme to help improve your blogs search engine rankings. Thesis has a very clean code, its easy for the spiders to crawl your content, it loads rapidly and because of this it will rank your content much higher in the search engines than a normal theme can.

(whichever theme you choose, I recommend not picking a black theme or very dark colored one as this makes it hard on the eyes to read at night).

6. A strategy to earn income:  there are many ways to earn income from your blog.  You can write posts that include affiliate links to products and services you  love and believe in, You can choose a vehicle that is ethical, flexible and lets you build a earn a great income simply by promoting it, you can use adsense and banners and you can build a list and earn income whenever you promote useful things and provide great service to your list.

7. A professional header:  A good header is important as it makes it easy for your readers to know who you are, what you do and why your blog will benefit them.  It’s best if your header  includes your picture, your title(or what you do) and your slogan. These days so many websites are anonymous, plain or boring, so adding a header with your picture and your blogs benefits will make you really stand out from the rest. On fiverr, you can find excellent people who will make you a professional and great looking header for 5.-

8. An About Me Section:  This lets the reader know more about you and the purpose of your blog.  To write this section, you would FIRST write what the direct benefit of your blog is for the reader.  Then you would include a short bio about yourself and who you are.

9. Your Contact Information in Prominent View:  Your contact info (telephone, Skype, email etc) has to be easy to find and clearly visible.   People will leave a page if they find it hard to find the contact info and if it’s not there at all, it will create mistrust.

I don’t recommend adding your home address (as this is not relevant or needed) and if you prefer not to add your home phone number, you can simply purchase a Skype number for people to reach you.  This also has the advantage of allowing you to choose a number in the countries where you have most of your business partners so it’s only a local call for them.

10. RSS Feeds:  RSS feeds are the backbone of Web 2.0 and are very helpful to your blogs ongoing success. RSS feeds are one of the most important aspects to get high rankings (as RSS is used in many traffic strategies) and for the immense convenience it provides your readers (to get automatic feeds from you straight to their email).

11. A sitemap: This is important for the spiders to crawl your blog and be found by the search engines.

12. Opt In Box:  An opt in box is one of the most crucial factors to benefit from your blog.  This is where you can get your readers to sign up for your newsletter series and grow your list. An excellent Autoresponder I personally use that lets you seamlessly build optin boxes(with step by step video tutorials), lets you write your letters on beautiful templates and easily build a and manage a powerful list is Aweber.

13. Social Media Links:  This is where you connect your blog with all the other social media sites you use.  (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc).  This builds your presence, authority and credibility and also lets people get to know you and connect with you through other channels.

14. Testimonials and Endorsements:  Social proof is one of the most powerful and useful mediums to establish credibility. People are a lot more likely to purchase something or become involved if they see a lot of others have done it too.  The best way to use this is to have as many testimonials as possible about both your character and what you do. (Case studies can also be helpful to demonstrate this).

If you are just beginning and don’t have testimonials yet, you can ask your friends, ex employers and people who know you to provide a character testimonials for you.

15. Add a Blog Disclaimer:   If you’re going to recommend anything on your blog that you receive commissions for in any shape or form, you need to have a disclaimer on your site. This site: www.DisclosurePolicy.org lets you can create one specifically for your blog (in under  2 minutes) and not have to worry about hassles from the Federal Trade Commission.

16. Widgets and Plugins:  There are many useful widgets and plugins that increase the functionality of your blog, make it easy for your readers to use your site, interact with you and share your content.  These are some of the ones I use myself and recommend to make your blog more functional.

Don’t worry if starting your own blog is something you’ve never done before, and don’t worry about the technical stuff.  (If you know how to use email you can definitely master a blog!!)

The most important thing is to start adding content consistently and as you go you can improve the look and functionality of your site.

The many benefits of starting your own blog far outweigh the short time it takes getting set up and learning how to make the most of it.

WordPress is one of the most user-friendly, feature rich and outstanding platforms you can use to build your blog or website.  Not only can it help you rank very high in the search engines, but it has plugins and widgets that will let you do almost anything you can imagine.

The following are some of wordpress best plugins that can greatly increase the functionality of your blog, can increase your traffic and makes it easy for your readers to interact with you, sign up to your list and share your content.

Whilst there are many excellent wordpress plugins, it’s not good to clutter your site with them either as wordpress runs better with fewer plugins.  So when you add any to your blog, choose the essential ones you think you would benefit from the most.

1. All in One SEO Pack:  This wordpress plugin is a great tool to enhance the SEO for your blog. It allows you to add and specify your own  meta title, tags, descriptions and keywords to your posts (which helps your content to get picked up and rank much better in the search engines).
   

1. Google XML Sitemaps:  This plugin will generate a sitemap compatible for your wordpress blog which lets the search engine spiders find and crawl your site.

1. MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer:  This useful wordpress plugin prevents your blog from getting tagged as a ping spammer and potentially blocked from important sites (which can affect your traffic). WordPress blogs are set up to automatically ping your fresh content and this plugin makes sure it only sends pings for new posts,(instead of each time you edit or update an existing post).

WordPress Database Backup:  This wordpress plugin is an on-demand backup of your WordPress database, so you always have a copy of your files (and all your hard work is always protected) if anything ever happens to your blog. This plugin is super important and I recommend scheduling a database backup at least once in a week.

WordPress best plugins that aren’t free but that can help your blog in more cool ways:

1. SEO Presser:  This is a very powerful wordpress plugin that lets you know exactly what you need to optimize in your content(on page) to rank higher in the search engines for your keywords. It works by showing you a numeric score and areas to help you identify any areas of improvement. It’s a very useful SEO product especially for anyone new to SEO or who has little or no experience inoptimizing their content for the search engines.

1. Action Comments:  With this neat wordpress plugin, whenever someone posts a comment under one of your blog posts, there is a small check box they can click to join your mailing list. A very useful plugin to build your list faster.

These WordPress plugins will help your site be heaps more user friendly,  will grow your list faster, will  increase your traffic and will make your blog an exceptional tool to help produce results for you whilst your out enjoying life.

A few weeks before Obama came to office I really thought he was the embodiment of hope and change!!  I wanted him to win Presidency more than anything and felt like this was another step towards a beautiful and bright future for everyone. I thought if he’s such a kindhearted and sincere person with such good intentions, what better than to have someone with these exceptional qualities leading America.

Growing up as a child, a lot of politicians did things I felt were purely for profit and power, instead of the well being of mankind and I heard and saw so many broken promises, that I stopped believing politicians could create change altogether!

But for some reason when I saw Obama, I felt such incredible hope and expectation. I read his book ‘ The Audacity Of Hope’  heard his inspiring speeches and felt the immense light and joy in people’s hearts from all over the world and from all different countries. It was the start of something beautiful….   I was seriously the happiest spark ever!!

Since his time in office, many people’s opinion of him (and even mine) has changed, but after thinking for a long time about it, it made me realize he’s NOT the issue!

The whole worldwide movement of hope and expectation was NOT because of him, it was US for what WE believed he stood for!   For the end to war and poverty, for peace, for better health care and education, for solutions to our collective problems, for unity amongst humanity and for the positive CHANGE we all want to see as a reality!!

I’ve always believed in the inherent goodness in the hearts of mankind and have honestly never met anyone who has showed me otherwise.

It’s not the politicians who create change. WE DO!!  So many of us are waiting for someone or something to come fix everything that’s wrong, but it’s us (the masses) who hold the power not them!!

Each of us can serve and each of us has the power to make this world a better place.  To be kinder to one another, to care more, to use our buying power to support the good and ethical in the world instead of the destructive, to smile at one another, to lift each other up, to correct all the wrongs and join together and make the world the way it should be.

When we are together we are stronger than any politician, any government and have more than enough capabilities to solve all our worldwide problems.

We are all brothers and sisters and no matter what division we sometimes might feel, we all deep down only want to live in happiness and health, in joy, in peace and live a life of meaning.

I know if we believe in ourselves, unite together for the good and do consistent acts of kindness each day we can make this world beautiful for everyone. I hope you feel the same, and are the trailblazer and hero you were born to be. ♥
